When a user clicks one of their “Notifications”, I send them somewhere on my site. I want to include that somewhere in the database.
As you can see below, it seems it’s not possible to dynamically specify a page using the internal “Go to page…” action.
(And maybe that’s okay because I would need 3 fields in the notification data type for destination, data to send, and send more parameters, which feels bloated.)
So I can do an external link instead, which means I’ll have the page, data, and parameters all in 1 field as a link.
I’m just wondering if this will come back to bite me, for example, will I lose all analytics data on how users move through my site? Or are there other downsides to using external links for navigation?
