:filter in API workflow

Hello,

in the past I read many times that the option :filter to apply to a search can be done only on client side. But now I have the option to add it also in the workflows of API (Scheduled API).
I am not sure it is working thought.

Can anyone confirm that?

Yes I was able to filter the api json file before importing into database using workflows, what happened?
