I'm surprised to read this thread and see so many people commenting that SSL should be available at the lower tiered plan. $79 is such a low cost of entry for what Bubble is providing you. There is a simple reason they lump certain features together: they want you to upgrade! More importantly, they want you to want to upgrade — by placing SSL at the $79 tier they are being very smart business owners/entrepreneurs. It shouldn't come as a shock that a business is trying to make profit from their customers. I'd argue they are most likely LOSING money with the $19 plans all things considered. There is a real cost to providing services of any kind, and the more manual those services the higher the cost is going to be. If Bubble allowed you to install your own SSLs, that would likely clog up their support ticket queue and add unnecessary headaches to their staff. By automating SSL the way they have chosen, there is less manual effort needed to keep that piece of the engine churning and therefor can provide it at a lower cost. Heck, some services not too unlike Bubble only start offering decent features and support when you're paying $100-500/mo. The fact many of you report Emmanuel is replying to your emails directly says a LOT. You're not paying more than 3-4 Starbuck's drinks a month to Bubble and one of the owners is willing to listen and respond in kind. That alone is worth the extra $60/mo IMO. Thanks for all you do @emmanuel @josh.
