Plugin Server Side Action: Cannot Access Input Field of Type "any thing"

Hey folks…

When I create a Plugin server side Action with an input field of type “any thing”, I can only detect a null/undefined value inside the Javascript.

This seems like a bug… or am I missing something obvious?
