I made it so when a user resets their password it sends a random code to phone and they must type it in to be presented with the password reset. When the user enters the new password twice it is giving the “This is not a valid reset…” Message. Is this possible to do?

Yes possible. Plugin Twillio, and reading. 
I have the text messages setup and it authenticates correctly, but it wont let them set up new password
