Saving GPS Coordinates in What format : Text/Number..else?

Hi Map makers :face_with_raised_eyebrow:,

When saving GPS Long/Lat properly in the database, what format should one use ?
I see some GPS Coord. uses “-” sign and “,” comas (…If Im correct)
*I didnt see a GPS format in-box, just like there is an Email format available.
What format is more apropriate when I want later on to send a Point Coordinate to a plugin Map or Weather, GoogleMarker , etc… so that it is recognized properly by any of those…

(I guess I can t change a Database field format once its created…)
