Use Equivalent of States in an API Workflow

Hi Everyone…

Am just diving into the deep dark server underworld of API workflows. I can’t see that they have any ability to create temporary intermediate values which are the equivalent of States in a normal workflow. Is this correct? If so, are there any workarounds to this?
